good and bad poetry by Bogdan Dragos

Gobblers & Masticadores

Well,
after you write enough
and try to publish for long enough
you just notice it
There is no such thing as
good
or
bad
poetry.
There's just poetry to which people
can relate
and poetry to which
people can't relate.
And that makes all the difference
in the world.

    1. -=≡Σ(((⊃゚∀゚)つ Thank you, Dave!

By the way, I also learned a big lesson from this. I leaned that in order to make it as a poet you don’t have to come up with that one immortal poem, but rather to “spam” the industry with all you’ve got (the good and the bad). It’s a far more efficient technique to make yourself known :))

        1. Oh, it’s pretty good (◕‿◕)

Until the end of this month I’ll be working night shifts only (lack of personnel) and that means I’ll be writing quite a lot of poetry (which I’ll be emailing to myself for future use. That’s how I do…)

And, how’s life going for you? 🙂

  1. There’s so much poetry that I think is written to impress. It’s lovely (…usually), but if it doesn’t move the spirit or make me think, it’s like a marble statue.

  2. Ahhhh…. yes! I love it… and the sweet pic. 🤗 You always get me thinking, ’cause now I’m thinking, it’s not just the poem I relate to, when I like poetry, but also something about the author too… btw always love your generous writing tips in the comments as well… and of course your very original, consistently personal yet professional style of doing things… I admire not just your work, but the person we come to know through it as “you.” :)) 🙏

    1. (っゝω✪)っ Wow, big thanks, Lia!

In real life I’m someone who’s literally paid to watch people ruin their lives in casinos 🎰
But in my imagination… welp, I sometimes sit in the office, read my own poems and imagine I’m giving a poetry reading before an audience who loves it 🙃😅

Like I said: some people eat dreams. For breakfast and lunch and dinner…

      1. Another perfect textmoji… and such a great tip (about the way to read one’s own poems… I tend to unhelpfully imagine the opposite ;)) …as for the eating of dreams… well, I hope the job is paying you enough to eat well… I am one of the ‘lucky’ ones, I suppose, a word-gambler in the worldwide casino… hoping against all odds to drop some weight, though… :)) Thanks for your help, Bogdan. 🙏😚🎶

  3. Hi, Bogdan!

There’s so much truth in this that resides in every line. This is such a simple yet an wondrous piece! By the way, thank you for liking my recent post on Niel Dann’s Weblog as I am a novice on WordPress. I hope that things have been going well. I wish you all the best.

    Stay safe!
